winds could reach 70 mph here

Quintessa Moves In

A largely dry, bright and sunny day on the cards for many areas today as milder air pushes in ahead of Gale Quintessa.

Winds will pick up across Western areas this evening, touching gale force during Friday across many parts of the British Isles.

The other issue is the leading frontal band of Quintessa which is likely to fall as sleet and snow across Scotland and Northern Ireland later this evening. Eventually, the wintry conditions will give way to more traditional rainfall, however accumulations in some areas could prove tricky for a time.

So, a wet day in store for many on Friday, gales in the West. If you want to find out more on Quintessa and her track and intensity then use the CycloneTrack link below.
