2008 Hurricane Predictions...

Yeah ok well I've done mine so thats at least 2 peope who have put there numbers down!

Anyway these are my numbers at this early stage: 15/9/5

You dont think there will be a Cat 5 this year then?

Interestingly, the last five years have had seven Cat 5 hurricanes the five years previous only had the one!*

*(That is not confirmed by the way, just from my notes I have got to hand!)

No I think we will end up just being short of cat-5, though if the right storm got into the right place then there is no reason why a cat-5 can't occur...I do think we will see a few cat-4's however that get ino the 140-150mph range.

The other thing I should say, La nina hurricane seasons tend to take a while to get going with october sometimes being as active as September.
