Nicholas has continued to weaken due to northeasterly shear and land interaction. The cyclone is heading sotuhwards but is expected to begin to track westwards away from the coast beyond 24hr as a subtropical ridge to the south becomes the dominant steering influence. However, Nicholas is expected to disapate shortly after that due to the continuation of shear and the introduction of cool waters.
