Eurostar emits ten times less CO2 than flying to their core destinations.

This reminds me of Judith whats her name last night on Egg Heads. She said something like 'we are meant to pay some kind of levy' to help reduce CO2 emissions - the presenter then replied, if you stop using your private jet so much that would reduce CO2 emissions... stunned silence was the reply!

(I do think though that there should be a cap on wealth and millionaires forced to redistribute a percentage to good causes)

Well cruising is definitely out

Yup...always seen it as a pointless activity anyway.

Why float around over the sea expending resources so wastefully? Just go to the beach and lie down or paddle on the coast and walk around your area of interest rather than being stuck on a ship all the time.

The most recent generation of cruise liners would seem ideal candidates for nuclear power, I would have thought the security/hazard issues could have been handled by careful design on vessels as huge as these monsters are.
