Clear here overnight, min 2.8c - Still managing to cling onto some sunshine this morning, but there is at least 3 or 4 oktas of stratus around at about 1000ft, with a distinctly cold feel in the breeze.

ON any other February morning this would be considered a beautiful start, but after 5 days of unbroken sunshine it now feels something of a let down, which in reality of course it's not.

Low cloud and misty conditions arrived here about 22:00hrs last night and prevented the air temperature falling any lower than 2.7c, where it remained most of the night, so no air frost, although the 24 hour minimum temperature since 9am yesterday was lower because of the cold start. A moderate NE breeze has also become notable with the arrival of the cloud, so feeling much colder than this time yesterday, despite the higher temperature.

Currently at 9am, dull, damp and overcast, feeling quite raw in the moderate NE wind.

    Readings at 09:00

    Sky Conditions, 8 Oktas Stratus.

    Temperature 3.1°C

    Wet Bulb 2.9°C

    Dew Point 2.7°C

    Wind, moderate NNE.

    Maximum gust 17mph NNE

Another slight to moderate frost last night, making this the 4th air frost in a row. Minimum air temperature –2.9c and the grass minimum –6.5c. At 9am, sunny and frosty, visibility, about 2 miles.

The morning and afternoon continued very sunny and it became mild again by the afternoon, although with a more pronounced light NE wind than on recent days, the temperature peaked at 10.7c around 14:00hrs. Rain, none.

Stratus spread in from the east during yesterday evening and we've had thick fog or fog ever since. Decidedly chilly after the mild weather of recent days although we just missed out on an air frost.

Another beautifully sunny day here, but noticeably colder. At noon yesterday it was 13.4c, having risen 9.1c in the proceeding 3hrs and 7.5c in the proceeding 2hrs.

Today at noon it was only 5.8c, having risen only 2.1c in 3hrs and 1.4c in 2hrs.

Can't and won't complain though, it's still absolutely glorious out there.

Perhaps, it has only got up to about 4.5c here as well and it was predicted 6 - 8C.
