In case what you're wondering what NO is well it's defined as No Snow shortened to NO. Why NO. Well in recent years forecast amounts of Snow have been well lets says on largely exaggerated side. So 10cm - 20cm becomes a mm if you're lucky. Lately the sit has got worse with Snow tending not to occur at all and turn up as rain instead or just plain sun. This has led to widespread grumpiness in snow lovers world and deep depression that is annual in nature.

I have issued a level four NO alert for England and Wales. This goes from a scale one to five. Partly driven by ramping and also driven by over zealous forecasting. You know the type. The forecaster waving his hands around TV tons of Snow symbols only for rain showers and sun to turn up.

Anyway NO alert is at level four for England and Wales.

Level three for Southern Scotland and Ireland. Level 2 for Eastern Scotland. Level one for the rest of Scotland Shetland.

So post your NO frustrations here.

Melton saw more lying snow in November, than the rest of the winter so far !

The 500w security light is back on for the kids, but I`m not expecting much.

Besides, all my plants are springing back to life. Bring on the sunshine !!!

It just would be nice to see a few flakes down here. Be it the odd flake, just to say hello and goodbye to winter....

Trust me this is not gonna happen, due to the fact there`s only 60 people in the March 2nd cold spell forum !

I'll second that Paul, lots of No, zilch, zero, nadda, not a jot.

First year I can remember where lots of No has fallen.

But, more frosts this year for sure.

Significant fall of 'No' here in Bexleyheath, it started around 8 Pm last night when Clouds dispersed leaving the sky ready for heavy falls of no-

At one stage the no was so heavy it reminded me of last winters no-

Knee deep in no here...

The drive in to work this morning was amazing. Luckly the no ploughs had been through and cleared most of the no out of the way in the early hours. Not at all treacherous.

Woke up to a thick blanket of no this morning. Tree branches are not bending under the weight of it and everything is twinkling in the sunshine.

Even thinking about going and building a noman as we have so much of the stuff.....

Plenty of NO showers here today in Lincoln. Also, funny cold snap this, temperature only -2 degrees below average which is about right for early march and overnight lows above average. Cold snap indeed.

WOW!!! Heavy NO falling now.

The radar looks like NO may fade away with the hour in SW Wales though :)

That precipitation looks promising, if its snow that is.

Would suggest the slow pace of this thread reflects that this 'cold snap' is going to be no more significant than anything else we've had this winter.

Currently baking humble pie - may require a slice or two later today

Pie is currently back in the cupboard, can always re-heat later if needed

Amazing actually how pathetic it is.

Showers dodge us to the SW then the big big shower which looked like dodging us to the SW again turns and goes NE.
