At one time (prior to the late 1990's) you would never see a Bluebell out before April, and usually not until mid April at the earliest.

My previous earliest was in Bangor, Gwynedd in the last week of March, that was until today.

Noticed a few very early appearers close to the river Aeron, this being one of them:

Has any one else seen Bluebells out yet?

Thanks for that response James ;)

Ties in nicely with my observations then.

Out of interest- I have also seen Bluebells still in flower in early July- obviously very late.

They were on an exposed cliff top location in Pembrokeshire, so the winds and altitude would have held them back.

    Many thanks.

It's interesting that last year we didn't get as many early flowers even though it was milder, would this be due to the sunshine in February?

I think its probably more to the amount of sun we've been having rather than 'climate change', because in all honesty just recently it hasn't been exceptionally mild, but the sun has been very prevalent recently. That's just my own observational opinion though

Rhodos are out here as shown by the photo below.

Nothing out of the ordinary though this the right season for them, usually late March and easrly May they emerge.
