The day dawned bright and breezy after a night of showers and gusty winds. Minimum air temperature 4.2c, grass minimum 1.5c. Currently at 09:00, bright and breezy. The morning and afternoon saw good sunny spells, but it was windy, with the SW wind gusting to 32mph. The late afternoon saw cloud increase to overcast with a little light rain. The evening saw the SW wind increase further to gale force at times with a gust of 52mph in a heavy shower. Top temperature 13c, rain 5mm.

A very windy day with the gale slowly easing this afternoon.

Plenty of sunshine and max of 10c.

7c now, clear, breezy.

Periods of rain and sleet this morning, eventually clearing by about 1100 and giving way to sunny periods and an occasional shower. A westerly gale all morning, decreasing to less than gale force by mid-afternoon. The mean wind speed at 0900 was 51 mph and the rain and sleet stung like needles.
