The 36oz Houston cut ribeye looks challenging. Do you reckon they sell many char-broiled fresh salmon fillets?

Not as challenging as their 72oz steak, which is double the size ... I struggled with a 16oz steak!

Be interesting to find out how many takers there are for the Diamondback Rattlesnake ('very little meat/lots of bones') - our team didn't try it last year!

Great place to meet fellow storm chasers on a big chase day in the TX Panhandle area - it's become a storm chasers' Mecca with great food, beer and atmosphere too!

Just wanted to wish you all the very best this year, it was fascinating to follow it last year. Stay safe and good luck, in that order.

Thats a great list there Paul its amazing to think your staying out there for that length of time!

Just a quick question, is it possible to stream the chases through the internet like some folk are doing in the states right now on that streaming site?

Yep

As Nick Says Darren Watch this space, should have some news for you in the next 2 days on this subject, Not only Streaming through SevereStudios but straight onto Net-Weather :D

Which would make us the 1st Uk Storm Chase Team to ever do this.

Really looking forward to this now

Must admit I am a bit scared also having met some of the experienced lads and heard what we were in for (and that's just the drinking games :D )

Will be really busy at work up until I go, so thankfully not too much time to dwell on matters!

yeah a book or two is a good idea

Well just like Desert Island Discs you get the bible, The complete works of Shakespeare and one of your choosing. Perhaps I could make a suggestion?

It sounds like it was very lively today over Tornado alley, but unfortunatly another fatality I think.

Really hope to do this one year, will follow on-line :)

I can't say my list will be as exhaustive as Paul's but I intend to take my digital point and shoot camera (Canon IXUS 75); an old Sony digital 8 camcorder (in case of damage as I saw a very expensive video camera go crashing to the ground last time I went chasing!); batteries/tapes/memory cards/leads/chargers for those cameras; a tripod if I have the room; laptop; power adapters; a map of the midwest US states if I can get one before I go, and the necessary things already mentioned like clothing/money/passport, oh and of course myself LOL

I was going to buy one of them, are they ok?

spoke to my sis in dallas yesterday, said the storms yesterday were pretty ferocious even her hubby a US native said that he had never seen clouds that looked that "green" before. Lost alot of fencing and loads of debris in the pool.

I suppose this news will get the chase teams licking their lips in anticipation even more! :D

Not 'alf mate :o

Though looks like the Plains are headed into a cool, ridgy and quiet pattern compared to the last few weeks ... with unstable warm moist air pushed way S and SE into the Gulf of Mexico and Florida. Hopefully it should pick-up again in time for when we go out there in a little over two weeks time.

Just added Ian Pickering's bio, we're now fully booked on the first tour, but do still have 1 space available on the final tour and a further 2 spaces may open up on the second tour next week :)
