Has been a rather wild night with the NW wind gusting to 54pmh during the early hours, accompanied with hail and sleet. The clouds cleared around 07:00hrs allowing some bright sunshine up to reading time, but remaining very windy and feeling cold. Wind chill –2c. The morning continued bright with good sunny spells, but very windy, cloud built during the afternoon giving squally hail and rain showers. Maximum temperature 9.7c. Rain, trace.
