Icicles in the Yorkshire Dales

I drove out to Yockenthwaite at the top of Wharfedale (a forgotten, picturesque village dating back to the Vikings) and on a walk around the surrounding fells there was much snow remaining with 30cm drifts and these spectacular icicles:

The ones on the left went from one branch to the other with no break. Here are a couple of photos of the scenery:

Great pictures of the icicles there. Very rare down in these parts and I've definitely never seen any that big.

:D Wow to those icicles! Thank you for sharing them Yeti.

The nearest I've seen to an icicle this past winter was a day in December when freezing fog lifted then thickened again around midday and a few formed on our shed (they were about 1cm long :D ).
