halo around the sun?

the way the clouds where last night gave a very strange halo effect around the sun, was quite cool

nicely captured Ice halo cookie.....one question though, what shooting mode did you use?....the reason I ask is that to my untrained eye, having no foreground lighting just detracts slighty from the pic
