Got some great views from the top of Harter Fell (778m) today, wind gusting at 50mph and being peppered with hail on and off -2 at the top and no idea what wind chill but real brass monkeys stuff!

Lovely views Dr, I am curious as to what all that rusty ironwork is among the cairn/pile of stones. Any idea?

Well worth the effort and the cold seeing such views IMO :D For once perhaps I am right in saying; At least it wasn't snowing, it probably would have been quite unpleasant all the way up there :D

The twisted metal in the cairns are some of the old fence posts Rusty, and it was extremely cold due to the wind but worth it in the end.

Doc.
