Essan, thanks for posting those fantastic pics, absolutely stunning. I'd enter the steaming river shot into as many comps as possible, I would think it would be a great one for the Countryfile calendar (for January B) ), well done.

Essan your snow pics are breathless....what camera do you use.....fav number 2

All those pictures were taken with my old 4mp Olympus C765uz - then just reduced and the image sharpened using Ifanview.

However, yesterday I replaced it with a SP560uz :D

(dSLRs are no good for me because they're too heavy and bulky, especially with additional lenses, for taking on backpacking trips - so I have to compromise with the next best thing)

Wonderful pictures here. All are stunning! I also love the steaming river picture. Looks a lovely place to have a walk on a winter's day. The two photos of the church are also great and I must say they look pixel perfect.

LOVELY PICTURES. makes me quite proud to say thats my home town. Great pics of the Bell Tower with the snow in the foreground. I see you got up early to take those pics judging by the time on the bell tower! wise choice , a few hours later as you know it was all gone! :) Took some pics myself but only of the garden etc. :)

Yes, I was up at six o'clock although I didn't head out till the sun was rising just after 7 - we were lucky that the cloud cleared as the sun rose to give those lovely blue skies :)

Annoying thing was I'd been looking forward to have a lie in to make up for having to get up early all week due to BST ..... :D
