Yeah, like a few of the South Pacific storms this year, this one is a very weak affair and is racing southeastwards towards cooler waters and higher shear. I don't expect it to be named either, JTWC call for it to dissipate tomorrow. It's been a very quiet season for the South Pacific with only Daman, Funa and Gene being noteworthy storms. Obviously totally opposite to the South Indian Ocean season  .

I feel bad for the poor system cant we just name it anyway?

LOL  - the same happened with 20P and 24P, JTWC classified them as minimal tropical storms with 35kt winds (based on 1 min average winds) but the agency in control of the area (either BOM or Fiji) didn't as they use 10 min average winds which tend to be a little lower. Therefore these small, weak systems remained nameless.

27P is dissipating. Shear has blasted the convection away leaving an exposed low level centre. Stronger shear and colder seas await so regeneration is not expected.
