MetO to call a positive / negative NAO for winter 2008-09?

Well, i am quite happy with the forecast from the Met Office, obviously expecting a winter on par with those between 2001 and 2006.

The details to take note of are:

They expect a winter CET of 4.6C to 5.5C...

They expect winter rainfall totals less than 117% of average..

It seems quite hopeful to me...........temps slightly below last winter..........we got a good few snow events last year so you never know

Looks very similar to the winter predicted for 2007/2008. Anyway it wont be any harm if we have another mild winter as some people will struggle with the impending rise in fuel prices
