Well, i am quite happy with the forecast from the Met Office, obviously expecting a winter on par with those between 2001 and 2006.

The details to take note of are:

They expect a winter CET of 4.6C to 5.5C...

They expect winter rainfall totals less than 117% of average..

Not sure if this was posted elsewhere but here is there forecast:

Looks very similar to the winter predicted for 2007/2008. Anyway it wont be any harm if we have another mild winter as some people will struggle with the impending rise in fuel prices

No, we haven't seen that.

No, we don't care about what the UK's leading (in fact official?) meteorological forecaster has to say about the coming season ahead we all love and haven't experienced properly nationwide since the late 1980s.

No, we have our heads in the sands.

No, thank you for enlightening us... oh wise one. :wallbash:;);)

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall. It doesn't rain very often here like other desert areas, but like the deadly floods in Libya last year showed, these rain events are likely becoming more extreme due to global warming.
