Hey, here are some pictures I took early morning just outside of Bath, was quite a good thunderstorm, lots of flashes and some spider type lightning, very loud, but does anyone know what cuased the strange long bit hanging off of it?

Welcome to Netweather Dave. I missed out on the thunder for a change today, your area did quite well by all accounts on the convective discussion thread. Thanks for posting those pictures too B)

Regards,

Russ

I don't know if anyone can confirm this but is it possible that that bit hanging from the thunderstorm is a scud cloud? I did some research on it and it appears to be very similar.
