skew-t are the 'most' popular as its an American thing thus GFS shows them. As to area I THINK its pretty much the same but don't quote me.

for Brian/Dave and anyone else wanting the learning section this is the one you asked for, I've redone it in simple terms so hope its a suitable replacement for the original.

Eventually I'll check through all the links and replace where there is a problem.

I've always found skew-t's off certain university met sites to be more accurate than the raw outputs of the GFS or ones on netweather.
