A clear and sunny start to the day though was a little cooler than the previous two nights with the minimum air temperature down to 7.2c and the grass minimum down to 4.0c. Staying sunny and clear with a moderate easterly breeze up to reading time and quickly becoming warm. The morning and afternoon became very warm with good sunny periods and scattered Cumulus Humilis. Top temperature 23.5c. Maximum wind gust 30mph from the east.

Been another gorgeous sunny day all day. Clear skies all morning and for the latter half of the afternoon but some nice looking bubbly cumulus clouds between 1-3pm. Now a calm, sunny and warm evening - lovely. Let's hope this nice weather isn't wasted before summer arrives.

Coventry report:

Clear overnight and mild.

Min: 10.6c.

Dry yesterday.

Very warm, sunny and rather sticky today.

Left for home after 1430, very warm and uncomfortable journey, car thermometer hit 28c at times!

After Abergavenny saw a small Cb near the Brecon Beacons before 5pm, and further cells developed all around after Brecon.

Heavy rain, hail and TL at times between Llandovery and Lampeter (1815-1850).

Meanwhile, my wife heard thunder at times here after 1730. However only a damping in evidence here when we arrived home 1900.

Max at home today: 26.4c @ 1430 (would be a degree or so too high).

Currently: Clear, rather warm.

Temp: 17c.

Pressure: 1016 mbar, falling slowly.
