A nice warm 14.7ºC at 11pm.

Did you know that roughly 13 years ago today there was heavy snow in the morning across much of West Central Scotland (and possibly beyond)?.

Yes It Certainly is going to be one sticky and uncomfortable night

The official station around here are recording 13-14C those kind of temperatures may not rise much today due to haze but the sun is shining and it feels alot warmer than 13-14C in the shade, I'll check my sensor but I think itll be more like 18C/

What absolutely gorgeous weather; the sixth day with nothing more than patchy upper cloud, light winds and the temp already the highest, at 27.1C, since 27.3C on 11 September 2006.

I could cope with this for the next 4 months without any problem!

Its easily the longest warm/hot spell for any time in May for this area. None of the years for RAF Finningley show as many days with temperatures at such high levels.

A wonderful day today with loads of sunshine and just a few cumulus clouds bubbling up this afternoon. Now, a calm warm evening with sunny skies to the west but a layer of cumulus and altocumulus has encroached from the east and southeast.

Its quite a shock coming from the storm chase and finding the weather not to dissimilar to Northern Texas! A hot day in May is probably what you would call it in the land of Asparagus, and feels like anything you would have in any summer month in the UK.
