Thanks Louby :drinks: . Nice to see that others marvel at the beauty of these things as much as I do. Pity they can be so deadly though.

They are truely awesome to look at, I find that hypnotic actually, sad I know. But as you said just a shame they are so deadly

Must be the swirly appearance :drinks: . No, I entirely agree. I would like to experience a hurricane once but I would never like to live permanently in an area that gets hit by them. As much as a love watching them intensify into cat 4/5's I know that at the same time it's usually these very storms which can be utterly devestating. But I, and probably many others still will the storms to become big because they are so awesome to look at.

A friend of mine was in Florida when Charlie hit a few years back, said it was scarey but exciting at the same time, and she is not a weather nut like us lot! I would like to experience it once, I think.

Indeed :D

Nakri still remains a typhoon this afternoon, just. Intensity is now at 65kts and extratropical transisition has begun. Nakri is zooming northeastwards at 21kts according to JTWC. Nakri is expected to complete ET within 24 hours.
