NW Blog - Server Move

Tomorrow (Wednesday 28th May) will see Netweather migrating over to new, more powerful servers. We’ve simply begun to outgrow the current server setup we have and are moving now to avoid any problems arising because of this.

The migration is due to occur at around 7pm tomorrow, shortly prior to this we will be closing down parts of the site (for example the forum), the switchover should take around an hour, and during this time the entire site will be inaccessible. Once back up, there may also be a few teething troubles, which we will work to resolve as soon as possible - but in the main, once the downtime is over you should be able to access the site as normal.

Sorry for any inconvenience that this causes, we’ll be working hard to ensure that the downtime is kept to as short a period as possible.
