Huge strike directly overhead with lots more rumbles and flashes plus constant, heavy rain - at last!!

I'll add the one we had in Thanet in the early hours of this morning to this thread.

Near constant lightning, booming thunder and torrential rain. Not too much in the way of forks although that was probably down to visibility problems caused by the mist and heavy rain - saw a couple of CGs but more ICs one of which branched and covered the whole sky in my field of view (North/East/South) at one point!

Storm passed by around 2am, was rather a good show

I have thunder recorded of starting at 1am till 3:30am,there was loads of lightning ,it was the best for ages

Not directly overhead here, more to the coast a few miles away.

Strobing frequent lightning, thunder almost constant, ranging from low growling/roar to low deep booms.

Fairly windy for a time, and heavy rain.

Lovely storm rumbling away between 2-3am. I'm a bit tired and grumpy now though.

Storm finally got here at 3:32 with torrential rain,big flash and just a rumble of thunder,then another flash at 3:51 with huge thunder.Had a few more flashes and slight thunder till 4:10 and that was that,was expecting more ,but hey ho.

Humidity is stll 94% today,slight overcast with darkening skies to the south of me.

Thunderstorm woke me up shortly before 4am and kept rumbling until about 4:30am, flashes 2-3 times per minute.

About 4am ish we were all woken by big thunder lightning goings on. Not had proper storm like that in ages.

We got some thundery rain at about 0300 this morning, infrequent lightning and mostly distant thunder, but some torrential bursts of rain. 13mm overnight.

Thunder and lightning between around 12.30 and 2am this morning here in Brighton!

Big storm moved through around 3-3:30am with near constant thunder and lightning. Some torrential rain also fell, giving 15mm, meaning my total since Sunday morning is now 71mm, just short of 4 inches!
