I always do a lot of walking about in June for the flowers, the weather makes or breaks a picture IMO. Flowers are always too bright for me in the midday sun, so if its bright in the mid/late afternoon off I go up the Downs, if I happen to have the time at the right time that is. :o

Wow

I have Just seen these Russ..wonderful pics there mate. I absolutely love the first one and the mood it creates

with the mistiness.

I'd love to be able sit there and chill at times when I need to think to myself.

Glad you like them folks, I'll make sure to include plenty of pastel shades and flowers next time, to help everybody relax who might not be able to escape like me :)

I love winding down from a day, in the wilds, it is definitely a good thing for the mind. :)

Regards,

Russ

Wow, well taken.

I particularly like the flowers, you really got the focus perfect and they stand out superbly against the background. No. 1 and the last one are also superb.

The weather has to be just right for those, plenty of strong sun(the shots need to be quite well lit), but not mid day and a slight breeze helps move the vegetation about a bit, giving glimpses of different angles on the subject.

I must say its almost as relaxing as meditation taking the pictures, getting across the country to the flowers with my heavy camera and lens makes up for this mind, be as fit as a butchers dog at the end of summer :(
