Has anyone seen this amazing video on the BBC website http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/7452416.stm It is believed to be the same tornado that wreaked havoc at the scout camp in Iowa.

Yep it does seem that way. These guys were damn lucky that the tornado was a good bit weaker, if it had been as strong as it was they may well have died or been seriously injured by a flipping car when that core of the tornado went through. Amazing footage has to be said and radar had gone down whilst they were in the HP supercell but even then it was still wreckless to get that close when you can see the tornadoes inflow clearly on the video.

I watched this as it was happening and contrary to what Kold says this wasnt as wreckless

as it seems, the radar went down as a result of a lightning strike and the radar image they were

viewing was a tad old (they didnt know that though) which showed no rotation although Kenny Allen and Rory Kartman (severestudios) believed something was there they punched through regardless as they trusted the radar, these guys have

over 10 years chasing experience and decisions like this are not taken lightly.... Just goes to show that a 'Barons' radar is

essential when chasing close to storms.
