Thunderstorm with intense lightning pushing north towards Aberdeen. Can see large thunder clouds to the south, looks like there might be more on the way. Weather warnings out on the local radio station for severe thunderstorms affecting the North Sea Coast

A very windy day throughout. It's been one of those days where in winter you'd expect to see lots of cu-nimbs blowing passed and maybe some squally hail showers but instead, as it is summer, it's been sunny all day. It's felt warm in the sun but equally cool in the wind.

    Max. Temp: 18.7C

    Min. Temp: 14.8C

    Day's Rain: 5.8mm

Sunny here all day with gusty winds from the south west, warm in the sunshine, checking on the webcam in Langdale, lake district, shows that it has been belting it down all day, water cascading down the hillside below Pavey Ark
