    Went up Helm Crag on Saturday morning before the deluge that came in, saw the Howitzer & Lion and the Lamb, also good views of Easdale Tarn and sour milk gill.

    lovely spot, sat up there once and very reluctant to make my way down to the pub on the main road, Travellers Rest is it where I was staying overnight?

    The only disturbance, everyone else got off early for some reason on a beautiful afternoon, were two RAF aircraft, both below me, one a helicopter up one side and the other a Hawk trainer up the other side. At somewhat different times I hasten to add!
