The 'Hugin' (which is on permanent display on the cliff top at Pegwell Bay) is a replica of a Viking Ship which sailed from Denmark to Thanet in 1949 to celebrate the 1500th anniversary of the invasion of Britain, the traditional landing of Hengist and Horsa and the betrothal of Hengist's daughter, Rowena, to King Vortigen of Kent.

The 'Hugin' was offered as a gift to Ramsgate and Broadstairs by the Daily Mail in order to be preserved for centuries.

Shame you didn't get the bottom of the boat in, would have made a great pic.

Yeh but then i'd get all the iron fencing aswell , it never used to be like that but because of the increase in chav culture everything has to be protected now ;)

Still the composition is spot on , which is doing ok on Flicker and TP ;)

Tis a shame, just feel I am missing out on something with it being cropped like that.

I can understand that Louby ;)
