Low cloud and the finest ever drizzle during the first third of the day quickly blew away allowing sunshine from 10am onwards but an increasingly strong wind from the west. Plenty of sunshine this afternoon and my forehead is slightly burnt!

Most of day continued rather warm with further hazy sunny spells, though thicker cloud spread to the area later in the afternoon cutting out the sun. Maximum wind speed 21mph from the east. Maximum temperature 21.9c.
