A dry, sunny and mild start after a very mild night with a minimum temperature of 14.0c. The morning up to reading time stayed dry, but with an increasing SW wind bringing cloud, reducing the sunshine to just bright spells. Cloud increased further during the morning with slight drizzle for a time, but didn’t even leave a trace here. The afternoon brightened with sunny spells, very breezy throughout mainly from the west, maximum gust 30mph.

A bright day all in all with plenty of sunny intervals around, especially between 1 and 4pm when frontal cloud began sweeping in quite quickly from the northwest. Felt warm enough in the sun but it's quite horrid out there now with heavy rain that has been going for the last three hours.

very cold at the moment, feels similar to on a winter day when a cold front moves through leaving cold northerlies behind.

Quite a few of the exotic warm loving plants in my garden are actually starting to die off, due to the lack of warmth which I find disturbing, as its the first summer weve had to move plants back in, even last year was fine!

Feel sorry for all those poor people at Glastonbury, it's persisting it down, has been for a few hours now and we're only 20 minutes away from Pilton. Got a very grumpy text from my daughter earlier, it's rapidly turning into a quagmire down there
