A very pleasant warm, dry and sunny start with some Altocumulus Castellanus beginning to develop around reading time. Further good sunny periods followed during the morning and afternoon and feeling quite hot, though a fairly stiff south easterly breeze struck up during late afternoon taking the edge off the heat. Cloud increased during the early evening producing a few showery outbreaks of rain. Top temperature 26.1c, maximum wind gust 30mph from the SE. Rain 3.5mm

The "illusive" thunderstorms in the Vale are still at there old tricks ,some thunderstorms to west of us in Wales and weve been left with mainly cloud laden skies and nusiance value rain! Having said that its quite sunny now@18.41 and current temps are 18.3c.
