Took these high cloud pictures around 20 minutes ago (8.30pm) from our back garden.

They are all took with the 'Natural' setting bar the one which was taken with the 'Sunset' setting. I just had to adjust the brighness on the odd one.

    Anyway. What are they? :)

    Cheers OS

They are lovely, and would agree with Nigel as to what they are.

Something I have always wanted to see but never have :)

I've never noticed anything like em' before so I thought i'd get some snaps and see who knows what they are on here.

Looked a nice sunset as well with these types of cloud. Pity we cannot get a clear view of the derbyshire hills from our house as it would have taken a great sunset picture.

Some great cirrucumulus (and other cirrus forms) with some excellent iridescence captured there :)

yes a very attractive sky here too, a mix of Cu Sc Ac and Cc; its not that often that you see a good example of Cc; just my luck not to be near a camera for it. If anyone has a photo of this evenings's clouds and is happy to let me use it I'd be very grateful?

Yeah. A definate one off event for me with the camera at the ready (charged up for once).

I'm very suprised some of the fellow NW folk around the sheffield area did not see it.

    Great viewing.

    OS :)
