The storm arrived here around 5am saw some distant flashes and low rumbles but fell asleep around 4am before it hit so don't know whether it got any better. At 4am, lightning infrequent every 8-10 mins or so.

Had a huge storm last night from 9pm- 1.30 am here in Oswestry- at times in excess of 12 strikes per minute- seemed to be lightning constantly. Have never seen so much lightning since 1989. Incredible. :)

Another storm rumbled in and made us jump at 3.05am this morning :) but now all quiet with some sunshire in fact! A few ominous clouds still around though. Wouldnt surprise me to see more. :(

Had some thundery rain (a storm would be stretching it slightly) around midnight last night. Don't know how long it lasted, or if we did have anymore, as I fell asleep.

Went to see open air (both audience and performers) Shakespeare's Othello here at Keele last night,(despite the forecast, radar, warnings-glutton for punishment or what?) but with nothing apart from clouding over after a sunny day up to 8Pm.

Noticed frequent flashes, rumbles and dark clouds to the south from about 8.10, but no rain till spotting from about 10pm and a downpour at 10 30. They abandoned the outdoor stage and the last 3 scenes were performed in one of the rooms at Keele Hall after a 30 minute delay, good job there was less than 100 people there... A lot of distant lightning and thunder but nothing close and the downpour lasted maybe 30 minutes (I was indoors then..) I think places further south and west had all the action. Had stopped some time before the play finshed and I went home at midnight..Much more rain (8.4mm in 1 hour) at 5-6am but didn't hear any thunder

A thunderstorm in Norwich at 2:30-3:30am, mostly distant lightning, but one overhead strike. The storm seemed to gain in intensity just to the south of Norwich, and then fizzled out once it got north of the area.

There was a storm here in the early hours of this morning so I've been told. I slept through it, but I don't think it was anything notable, with only 0.25mm of rain falling from it.

had several storms come through kidderminster last night from about 8 pm and last rumble of thunder heard about 3am.

came over head about 10pm and the cat jumped a mile, then stared outside for a good 5 mins with a disgusted expression on his face.

Loads of showers around the area today, heard thunder from north of Lampeter just after 1300; in Lampeter 1420 and again north of Lampeter 1530. Not much rain witnessed though.

Quite a large thunderstorm passed over about an hour ago. Lots of flashes, rumbles and rain.

Nice, if you like that sort of thing.

A respectable 90 minutes of storm this evening, just finishing now.

Two waves of electrical activity and heavy rain - the second being by far the more impressive. Not bad for coastal eastern Scotland <_<
