The day dawned warm, rather cloudy and damp though bright after intense rainfall in around an hour between 02:30hrs and 03:30hrs producing 17.1 mm here. Currently at reading time, bright with sunny spells, but with a good deal of cumulus developing. The morning saw further sunshine, although still warm a good deal cooler than on recent days, there were a couple of short sharp showers during the afternoon accompanied by gusty south east winds, maximum wind gust 28mph SE, top temperature 22.9c.

A short dry spell early afternoon with some sunshine (Aberystwyth saw an hour or so of sunny warm conditions). Further light rain and drizzle at times from mid afternoon onwards. Rather windy at times and felt warm in the sun.
