After some overnight light rain, brighter conditions spread to the area by midmorning. At reading time, feeling pleasant with sunny spells, although still damp underfoot. The morning saw cumulus clouds building, but only enough to produce a very light shower, the afternoon was dry with sunny spells, although with rather large amounts of cloud at times.

Final day of our stay in Coventry with family:

Cloudy morning, then warm sunny spells during the afternoon and humid. The warmest day out of the 8 spent there. Rather windy (SW).

Min: 13.7c.

Max: 22.0c.

Rain yesterday: 0.2mm.

Total rain 17th to 24th while in Coventry: 25mm (almost half fell in one hour last thursday!).

Drove back 1700-2100: Sunny spells and warm as far as Ross on Wye, then dull and low cloudy with bits of drizzle at times and a damp chilly feel to the air (16-18c).

Rainfall at home while away: 59mm.

It must have been cloudy and damp and cool here as the house is chilly and damp, even the laundry left to hang some 8 days back failed to dry completely in the utility room!
