Now, did I catch the beginning of a funnel cloud today? I'm not sure, but the sky certainly looked threatning.

Pic taken with webcam so not very good!

Sorry Jane, is not a funnel cloud. They're just rugged clouds. A funnel would be alot more defined and you would definately be able to tell. Unless however you witnessed some rotation then perhaps they are just scud cloud (low hanging cloud from the base of a storm)

Thanks weather09, :)

Lol I am still learning! There was no rotation, although back in the summer of 2003 whilst camping I did see some rotation of clouds and the storm then was a pretty wild one.

Convection throughout this week on timelapse....

I believe some of the clouds went on to produce the Wales and Brum Storms...Unfortunately we were apart of just the breeding ground here

IN HD

you get a quick glimpse of a Anvil around 48 shrouded in cloud

pics mainly 1 per sec.

apart from one small clip at 10 sec

Nice work! How did you make it?

thx Jane and Rain..

to be honest its fairly easy...

Use a camera with a remote control lead so you dont get any shake....Or IF YOU HAVE A Canon you can use the software supplied....

set at 1 sec.so a picture is taken evry second......

This is the way I do it.

there is a cheating way though....

record a normal video of the Sky...

then speed it up in AVS,PINNACLE OR SONY VEGES...

This is the best way if your starting out..........the only problem with this way is the quality wont be as good

as taken a pic every second,,,just my opinon..

Then compressed into HD widescreen format.....

So Youtibe picks it up

hope this helps

edit...nice pic Rich
