Dull and dreary morning, haven't seen any sun since sunday, hopefully should clear by tomorrow or saturday, next week even though it looks unsettled because of cooler fresher air we`ll see sunny intervals at least not unremitting gloom like this week.

Peter gibbs on the main BBC 1 forecast made me laugh saying don't worry back to normal from sunday.

The cost of flour is shooting up because of all the rain we've had, it seemed to rain every day this August until last weekend, at least this week apart from drizzle has been mainly dry.

Certainly a brighter start to the morning here than yesterday, we've already had 31 times more sunshine than in the whole of Wednesday with a total of 0.31 hrs so far.

Having said that it's been overcast for the last half hour with the temperature hovering around 16c and a W breeze averaging 18 mph.

0.1 mm of rain overnight from drizzle early yesterday evening.

Edit; a few more sunny intervals as I type.

Has been another warm and overcast night. Staying cloudy up to reading time, though a few thinner brighter patches beginning to show. The morning and afternoon saw the cloud thin enough at times to give brief sunny spells, but disappointingly, staying mainly cloudy overall once again, and still quite breezy. Top temperature 19.1c, maximum wind gust 24mph from the west.

Some sunshine! Just a sprinkle with the odd patch of blue popping up from time to time. Much less breeze too although clouds still moving fast. Cloudy at the mo again but feeling warmer at 20.4c so almost already beaten yesterday. What a difference a bit of sun can make!

Cloudy start but the skies have brighten up now and we got sunny spells again, this high cloud i suspect is helping to break the lower cloud up well otherwis it will just bubble up and flattens.

Sunshine looks more widespread today to say the least, so hopefully more people will be happier.

The sun is desperately trying to break through this cloudcover here and I'm starting to see more in the way of sunshine

It's been a very similar pattern to yesterday apart from it's a little bit warmer today and slightly less breezy

Its been sunny almost all morning here, with it just clouding over in the last quarter of an hour. Very unexpected!

The temperature has responded too, reaching 21.3C, this coming after another warm night (min 15.1C).

Funny isn't it. This mornings forecast By CK says a cloudier day with drizzle so what do we get more sunshine. Goodie. Yesterday the forecast was the other way round and we got more cloud.

Much better than of late and nice to see the sun.
