I don't moan very often, but in a week that was forecast to be getting better as it progressed the weather has, in fact, worsened day on day...

Monday : cloudy morning, warm sunny spells from early pm

Tuesday : cloud & slight drizzle, sunny spells by evening

Wednesday : cloud & slight drizzle all day save for brief sun around midday

Today : dull, misty, persistent drizzle/light rain until late morning.

It's a perfect summation of this summer when higher pressure is still bringing wet weather!

Arrrrrrrrgghhhhhhh.......im so jealous, all these people saying sun & 20+ degree temperatures, its still only 15.4oC here and its been drizzling, with periods of more moderate rain all day, even now as I type & lots of mist!!!! Give me some antidepresants ive got SAD

I saw a small patch of blue sky (yes I did say blue sky!) here about an hour ago, but not surprisingly it quickly disappeared and it's now as dull as ditchwater once again.

I don't keep official sunshine records, just some crude figs that I jot down on a daily basis. However even adding 15% for underestimating error, I'm still sat at less than 80hrs for August to date, (the reality could actually be mid to upper 60's) which is way, way beyond a joke.

Sunny and warm here, its been sunny most of the day, it clouded over a bit in the afternoon however in the past few hours the sun has returned. Overall a very nice day here with the top temp being 23.9c

Miserable day to day, dull and cloudy turning to drizzle then light rain if it wasn’t for the temps it would seem more like November than late august. Roll on winter and hope we get something fun. Have not sat outside in the evening all summer.

Blimey plenty of Sun around although last time I posted that the cloud rolled in. Didn't last long thankfully. A day dominated by long sunny spells yet despite this the temperatures didn't respond very much and still peaked at just over 21C. Carol K will have to forecast cloudy drizzle days each day if they come out like this.

Too noisy to sit out in the evening round here unless you're very very lucky. If the kids don't get you the five whistling combo boilers will unless your ears can't hear the frequency.

Shows what a difference the hills make, we are only some 30 miles away west of you and the suns never looked like it wants to party today.

Well, it only lasted for just over an hour- back to greyness now! Still, it was good to actually see the sun, the first significant appearance here since Bank Holiday Monday.

Not a hint of sunshine here unfortunately, infact it's cloudier and duller than ever now.

Temps are not too bad though at 18.5c
