    After the "day of the cockchafer" comes the "night of the stampeding sheep". On the night of the 3rd of November 1888, numerous flocks of sheep broke out of their pens and stampeded in a section of the Thames Valley. The cause of this was baffling. Here's an article on this very peculiar Victorian mystery.

    Just shows how sensitive animals are to things,so my understanding of this is Mr.D is the sheep ran from an occured slight earth tremor as opposed to it being a forewarning of one?
