I do find it hilarious how people complain that it's cold at mid-teen temperatures. Crikey! The sun has predominated for much of the morning and, pound for pound, it's a far better day than many in the summer !

First heavy shower of the day right now, plenty of sunshine around, 17c.

It does feel much cooler today - a strong polar sourced wind is the culprit! Much sunnier for sure but feels much colder than last week.

18.2c now which is only 2c cooler than last weeks maxes - humidity really makes a difference!

If i have noticed something whilst being out today is that the sun has lost strength than what we been used to now as it gets lower in the sky, maybe this(and also perhaps the wind) is what making it cooler than what it would normally feels on days like these?

Last night had a chill in the air but maybe thats because we got used to the mild nights and 10C feels 'cold' all of the sudden.

I'm very sensitive to temperature anyway, the slightest breeze makes me cold, and the last few days I have been freezing, even with the heating on. Anyway we just had a heavy yet short shower and now it is back to blue sky with patchy cloud. I should take the dogs out before it rains again.

Started off dry and sunny, overnight low of around 6. Rain has kicked in in the last hour - temp currently 13, from a high of 15 before the rain started.

We had our boiler serviced yesterday, ready for the winter. It's been off (no heating 'cos the circulation pump was knackered) since before the warmth of May. Still off now - thick granite walls keep our inside temps around 20-22+ unless it is really cold outside. Almost unbearably warm in the bedroom at bedtime even with the recent cooler evenings.

Too wet for wearing a jumper a coat is needed this afternoon has been very autuminal with just 12.1c max since the rain started and windy similar temps this week to early sept 1992.
