You are welcome to mine; it's chucking it down here at the moment.

Very dark here with some heavy rain now. Hopefully it won't last too long.

Sun is out! Front has cleared I think... But no sooner was it out then the blinds had to be closed. Such is the pain of afternoon sunshine September to March while at work...

That band of rain barely wet the ground here and after it cleared it has now become a nice and sunny evening. Cool though, especially in the wind, with a maximum temperature of 16.2C.

Min this morning was 11.2C, so slightly above average for early September. Tonight could well be quite cool though.

A bit OTT saying its ''very chilly'' at 14.4C, if its sunny i still think its t-shirt weather at least.

Lovly evening here with sunny spells after what has been a cloudy day with a bit of rain this afternoon. Tomorrow looks ''dreich'' to say the least.

I think its just what your used to.

Nice sunny afternoon after shrs earlier, clear skies mean chilly night ahead currently 9.8C, should be a ground frost in the valley bottoms. Low last night 6.8C probably get to 4/5C here tonight well above the valley floor.

Rain for most of the day bit of sunshine then more showery rain this evening and already dark, autumn is definately here early, i class early september as summer.

It's really desperate out in the countryside the torrential downpours everyday have caused a very serious situation indeed and tomorrow looks absolutely dreadful, rivers through urban areas are at bursting point.

Farmers are having a hell of a time of it they just can't cope at all with all this very wet weather.

Very cold outside, and for the first time since late April the night temperature has gone below 10C, in fact it's currently 8C. If it does continue calm and clear until 4am there is little doubt of a little hoar frost here.

Yes not a bad day really, odd heavy shower this afternoon in Sunderland, but a very dry and clear and distinctly autumnal feeling evening. If tomorrow is looking driech for us, Saturday is looking double dreicher - a throroughly miserable day looks like being in the offer and at this stage Sunday looks preety dreich as well with rain only slowly dissapating to the east.

I foresee a spell of 48 hours of consistent rain starting early tomorrow afternoon and mostly moderate or heavy until Sunday morning when it becomes a bit lighter with temps getting no higher than 14 degrees and an increasingly cool wind as it switches from the SE to N, I foresee a weekend when 'outdoor activities' are cancelled and plenty localised flooding - gosh I sound very doom laden, but this weekend is looking a complete washout for NE England.
