London cell 12 sept 08

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

After reading the reports of jumbo hail etc I really hoped this would kick off big style but it simply hung around forever looking increasingly dodgy.

Stuck at work all weekend so its been nice to tinker with this mixture of handheld and webcam footage:

Thanks for the comments.

The music is Jimmy page playing white summer / black mountainside.

The forest in the opening shot has a path right alongside it and is where myself and 4 conservationists were walking whilst the kensal rise tornado was in full swing, we had hail and lightning and the front edge of the cell would have been clearly visible behind those pylons. Unfortunatley I was not a member of any weather forum at the time which is a real bummer because I would have read the warnings and had my camcorder with me, needless to say we just thought it was a bit of a stormy old day :D

Yes Phil I will post some more soon, just trying to work out the best settings for some of my other footage.

Mick
