    Here is my first entry:

    post-2951-1222811506_thumb.jpg

I took this on the morning of Sunday 28th September. I woke up at 7:30 to a thick layer of inversion fog, so promptly set off on my bike up the Cotswolds Hills. During my bike ride, near Cowley, I saw these fantastic rays of sunlight penetrating the mist through the trees.

As it's only 3 of each for the season, I'll try and make 1 per month  So, from September:

But I don't have any non weather pics yet, so that leave me one 'spare' to carry forward for October!

I'm back after a while and I have a few pictures to share..

First my "non weather" shots - most of them have an autumn feel about them:

    1)

    post-2922-1225733346_thumb.jpg

Long exposure (>1 sec) on a section of the Feshie river in Speyside near the Cairngorms

    2)

    post-2922-1225733434_thumb.jpg

A tree in the same valley, again a long exposure and while exposing the focal length was changed using the zoom control on the lens

    3)

    post-2922-1225733293_thumb.jpg

Glen Affric in West Scotland - allegedly the most beautiful glen in Scotland...

Now for the weather related shots:

    1)

    post-2922-1225733314_thumb.jpg

Taken on a cold misty morning at the side of Loch Pityoulish near the Cairngorms National Park

    2)

    post-2922-1225733408_thumb.jpg

    3)

    post-2922-1225733373_thumb.jpg

    2) and 3) were taken from a high viewpoint looking across the Spey Valley - it was a showery day and the light provided a dramatic backdrop to a beautiful view...

I've never done this before, so I am scared

Please tell me if my pics are any good, and if they are the right size. I keep trying to resize them to 1024x820, but my computer won't have it!

These would be ones for weather:

    Four more pictures from me.

    Two weather-related:

1/ Taken near Montgomery in Powys, close to the Shropshire border.

    post-2951-1226164567_thumb.jpg

2/ "Moods of the Borderland" Sepia version. Taken from the Stiperstones in Shropshire. This sums up October pretty well, for me!

    post-2951-1226164652_thumb.jpg

    Two non weather-related:

1/ Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall, Powys, Wales.

    post-2951-1226164624_thumb.jpg

2/ Clun Countryside, from the Castle.

Thanks for that reminder shuggee! In that case could I (or you) possibly swap the Clun picture from non-weather to weather? My edit time seems to have expired now :-)
