I really don't want to be pedantic, but this kinda confuses things:

During Friday evening, as the winds veer westerly, they could increase further across the northern isles, with gusts of up to 90mph possible here, and later in the night across Orkney and Shetland

Orkney and Shetland are the Northern Isles.

I just wish we'd get a deep low here. Apart from the gale on Friday night we have had very little in the way of wind so far this Winter. Not much in Autumn really either! Stay safe you guys in Scotland. Looks pretty rough!

One storm at a time Cookie!! Although we should make the most of this, a pesky looking HP is coming our way.... :)

Yes, that HP is bringing some highly tedious weather here, grey and mild. Bleurgh!

Still no warnings out from Met Office. At least we can rely on Netweather to keep us updated. Seriously I am not looking forward to this bad weather. Keep safe up there Cookie and Weathermaster, its going to be a lot worse for you guys up there than it is where I live. :)
