Some fairly strong gusts here; and I can hear bins falling over and my house vibrating from time to time. Quite noisy outside.

Range of 50mph.

Same here, this house moves in the wind too, and i've heard a couple of bins go over.

Certainly a wild night, I wouldn't mind knowing my max gust if I had a weather station. I would think over 60mph.

Normally I like the wind but for some reason tonight i'm getting a bit sick of the almost constant roaring.

Hi Cookie, how's it going in the calm old Hebrides?

Shetlands near the eye of the storm, winds have dropped off there considerably, will pick up to WNW 50-80 mph about three or four o'clock. Otherwise, most of northern Scotland currently near peak W to WNW speeds likely to be reached, could get a little stronger before letting up.

Sunday could be worse for Shetlands, almost as bad as today for other regions.

Out here I tie my bins down with rope and put a few old bricks on top of them to weigh them down works every time.

this has been far the longest sustained spell of windy weather since last year and maybe longer!

I really wish I hadn't been working and been able to experience it more.

Well not too bad overnight. Top gust in Lerwick 66mph in the early hours and out where I live, which is in a lee and a bit more sheltered it was just over 50mph, so nothing too spectacular. Sunday night looks a bit more interesting though!

Currently winding down now flicking between a 6 and a 7 NW'ly.
