Hi, Meteo Madrid. I knew that you frequently got snow in your part of the world, but are these snowfall amounts in any way unusual?

Excellent pictures. What camera do you use?

Kind Regards,

Mike.

Hola, Meteo Madrid.

Preciosa.

Hi guys and thanks for the nice comments. These aren't my photos, I tend to find them on the internet forums. It snows a lot in the mountains in Spain. The Snow in cities (Center and North Spain) is typical over January, February and March.

I am a lover of the English, Welsh and Scottish landscape. Are my second favorite land.

I've seen snow on the Tramuntana mountains in Mallorca in January. It's quite beautiful and rather unusual. Here's a picture I've found taken from Santa Maria in December. Puig Major is the tallest peak - it's the one near the church tower.

Regards,

Mike

True, Yeti but rarely in Madrid, which is a pity when I go there for winter breaks. Still, you can't have everything!

Regards,

Mike.

Recuerdos,

Mike.

Too true, MeteoMadrid! Especially the Cava and the beer! :good: But Pollensa and Lluc are beautiful and quiet places in the north of the island, as is Soller in the south. That's where we are going next Easter. We hope that Puig Major still has snow on it! We love Spain and we love the Spanish people and we can't wait to get there to see the beautiful weather and the extraordinary wildlife - especially the vultures in the mountains near Lluc monastery.

Until next time,

All best wishes,

Mike.

Mike.

Lol, depends where you are in England - here in Harrogate I get more snow than my good friend does in Villalba!

Madrid probably gets more snow than London, about the same as Birmingham perhaps... Whereas somewhere like Burgos or Soria probably gets a similar amount of snow to Aberdeen or Lerwick? As for Braemar, well I don't think there's really a comparison.

It seems like we have zero snow days here in Birmingham  . But I'm not complaing - Roger J. Smith and others seem optimistic for this winter. Wherever you are, I hope you have a snowy season my friends.

Every best wish,

(See you in Madrid sometime?)

Mike.
