    Could somebody please explain to me what a toppler is? I enjoy reading the model output discussions and often see references made to it.

    Its a situation where instead of a northerly becoming fixed and producing a prolonged cold/cool spell over the UK, high pressure moves in from the Atlantic making the northerly short lived or a none starter.
