Bit naff here, after a couple of hail showers at teatime and clear periods we had a good frost going at 0.5C. Its now 2.8C on last glance. Cloudy - as is much of the UK. Brr, I think not. If it were clouding up in response to a shower, okay. But no, just general cloud. I don't even think there will be a proper air frost anywhere in England or Wales below 400m tonight. What a dissapointment. GFS... 2-3C max tomorrow? Maybes if its cloudy? I was expected cool fresh bright. I'm going back to digging soil and sniffing my armpits.

Just had another hail shower, temp 2.2C, dew - 3.4C on the uni AWS which is about 100m from me, usualy it reads about a 1C temp too high just because of its location isn't too great and its on the roof of a dark building that seems to retain heat very much. I haven't seen it that low yet here yet though year though.

Has been mild and dry night with the temperature holding around 10c, but a windy one with the westerly wind gusting to 40mph. Currently at observation bright, though with a good deal of high cloud around, also beginning to feel cooler, currently 7.5c. The day continued windy and cool feeling, especially in the wind. The temperature briefly reached 8.2c around lunchtime before falling later to 4.9c by early evening.

Started off sunny at 7am. A heavy snow shower fell at 8am giving a temporary covering. Now largely overcast. Wind surprisingly light at just 8mph!
