It is very changeable here. dropped another 0.5C and then went back up and now it's on the way back down again! I think wintry showers are on the way for most of Scotland today

Bitterly cold here and the temp dropping all the time. Currently 3.6C, Wind Chill -0.9C, Dewpoint -0.1C, wind Northerly. So cold enough for snow but only a few flakes on the wind so far.

Had a high of 8.2 this moring at 10.45. After that it started to fall slowly. Its now 7.3 c.

If you look at the net weather extra radar you can clearly see where the heavy snow shower was and its moveing away now and pushing towards mainland Scotland.

as soon as it was here it was gone.

it was so nice to feel the snow hitting the back of my coat, and it was lovely seeing it falling hopefully the first of many snows this year!

my temp maxed out at 6.9c all for about 10 mins, currently 4.1c. roads are drenched after recent shower, so treachorous road conditions tonight i would suspect.

Cairngorms! Ooh very clever! lol. Sadly' that doesn't count! Actually I think a Scottish Snow League sounds like a good idea!

1 point for snow falling for anything over 5 minutes;

2 points for snow falling for anything over 30 minutes;

3 points for snow falling for anything over 60 minutes;

5 points for snow falling for anything over 2 hours.

Get representatives from different areas and they can come up with a team name for their area and we can run this competition throughout winter. The other debate is the start date!
