yes about 15 min ago it snowed but for only about 3 min its about 2c now and now cloud has started to float in the radar tonight on bbc weather shows snow is their any now near say the derry area?

Sunny here for the last hour and a half, the fog having sunk back into the valleys.

Temp' at Buxton is showing around 3c so I would imagine it's similar here, although their sensor does tend to record on the high side in calm, sunny weather.

A day of fog, no wind and a cold feel with a max of 4.5c. After a few mins of sunshine its getting dark now with temp of 3.7c.

Max -1c today and the temperatures on the way down again so an ice day here .Has been mostly sunny all day with some snow showers out to the NE over the North Sea which do not seem to be moving much, a great winters day for working outside on the farm.

snow earlier turned to rain when the temp rose from 0 to 4 in 30 min of sun but now its between 2 and 3 c and is sleety

so mabye in about 1 or 2 hours it might snow again! does anyone know if their is snow in the limavady coleraine area on the radar?

Currently 0.3c after a max of 1.8c making it the coldest november day of this century :lol: beating all of 2005.

So only 1 day in november 19th 1996 was a shade colder with this snow beast/blizzard.

Had a very nice winters style day here. There's been some fog around all day that has just started to become a little denser now and it's hovered around 0.5ºc all day! Very cold outside but quite enjoyable and refreshing.

These showers that occured earlier were mainly rain and sleet. As you say the temp went up to 4c but it has now dropped again to 1. The snow that we had this morning is still lying. Its not much but i think that any showers tonight could be of snow and there could be a few surprises in store for some people. The showers seem to be very localised.

Frost is already re-forming here so another cold night is possible aslong the skies stay clear, there is some high cloud around which could prevent temps dropping too much at the moment but another cold night is on the cards.

Nice sunny day however the sun at times did turn hazy, frost only really melted in the sun so it goes to show how cold today was.

Today was another indication of what wonderful variety of weather we Brits get. Cold, Foggy and as miserable a day could be, but in a strange way absolutely beautiful because of it. Walking through town, seeing figures shrouded in mist, almost giving them a mystical shape. Driving back home, the headlights of oncoming cars further diffused by the fog, and stealing away their usual harsh glare. Now the night as come, and the fog as closed in even denser. Lovely, lovely, British weather!!!

its just my luck? could anyone tell me if their is any snow in the coleraine- limavady area and if we are likely to get a few cms?

Thick freezing fog overnight gave 4-6 mm of clear ice and rime on all trees etc by this morning. The fog lasted until around 1015 before receding into the valleys to give 90 minutes or so of sunshine, it then returned for a couple of hours but this time wasn't as deep and there was watery sunshine shining through it.

After 1400 the fog finally crept back into the valleys to give a sunny late afternoon.

A very cold bitter day here with the max only being 2.0c after a min of 0.5c It's currently 1.3c and already colder than what it was last night at this time, thick fog here will stop us falling below -2c but should be icy and nice in the morn, Local forecast on the radio said snow showers tonight for here?? is this right?
